Terms of service
Effective 18 September 2026.
The service
InOrOff is a leave and attendance service for employers (“the customer”). The customer's administrator creates a workspace, invites people, and configures schedules, holidays, leave types and attendance policy. InOrOff records attendance and leave and prepares approved time data for the customer's payroll. It is not a payroll, tax or legal-compliance service.
Accounts
You must provide a working email address and keep your password and second factor to yourself. You are responsible for activity under your account. Administrators are responsible for whom they invite and for the roles they grant.
Customer data
The customer owns the data it enters and the records the service computes for it. We process that data only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy. The customer can export all of it at any time and can request deletion; deletion follows a 30-day grace period during which it can be cancelled.
The customer is responsible for having a lawful basis to record its people's attendance and leave, for telling them, and for configuring retention and network controls appropriately for its jurisdiction.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to access another customer's data, probe or overload the service, upload malware, or use the service to surveil people beyond attendance and leave records. We may suspend access that threatens the service or other customers, and will tell you why.
Plans, trial and payment
New workspaces start a 90-day free trial with every feature. Paid plans are priced as flat monthly amounts per workspace, in USD before tax, differing by the number of active employees, and are billed yearly in advance. At launch we invoice and activate plans manually; card billing on a hosted page will follow. A payment failure gets notices and a 14-day grace period; after that, or after an unpaid trial, the workspace enters restricted mode (exports, billing and accounts remain available; nothing is deleted). Prices may change with 30 days' notice; a change applies from your next yearly period.
Availability and support
We aim for continuous availability and publish a health endpoint, but we do not offer a service-level agreement at launch. Support is by email. Support staff can only read a customer's records under a time-bounded grant the customer's administrator creates, and every such view is written to the customer's audit history.
Changes to the service
We improve the service continuously. We will not remove a capability a paid plan depends on without 30 days' notice, and never without an export path for the affected data.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time; a paid plan runs to the end of its period. We can end the agreement for a material breach that is not remedied within 14 days of notice. In every case the customer can export its data before deletion.
Liability
The service is provided with reasonable skill and care. To the extent the law allows, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees the customer paid for that period, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law where the customer is based provides otherwise.
